Colombia's home-grown "cool," used for plans, objects, and people alike. "Qué bacano" is the standard reaction to good news. A person described as bacano is easygoing and good company — a slightly different compliment than calling a thing bacano.
Chile and Peru say bacán, Mexico says chido, Spain says guay, Argentina says copado.
