Praise for ability: *eres seco pa’ la matemática*, you’re brilliant at maths. Specific to a skill, not general niceness.
Literally "dry". The sense is of something clean and precise, with nothing wasted.
Elsewhere *seco* mostly just means dry, or a dry drink — the compliment is Chilean.
Reading a definition isn't the same as saying it to someone. Lingo Kaiava is a voice tutor set to Chilean Spanish — it uses seco / seca the way locals do, corrects you in the moment, and never "fixes" the way real people actually talk into textbook Chilean Spanish.
