The exact opposite of bacán and just as common. Applies to parties, movies, people, and weather. A "fome" person is not unpleasant, just tedious. There is no clean equivalent in other dialects, which is why Chileans abroad keep using it.
Purely Chilean. Elsewhere you would say aburrido, and Chileans find that word too weak.
