Really / for real / seriously?
The most common filler and reaction word in casual Korean. As a question ("진짜?") it means "for real?"; as an intensifier it means "really" ("진짜 맛있어" = really delicious); said flat and slow, it signals disbelief or annoyance.
정말 (jeongmal) means the same thing but is a touch more formal and more common in writing.
Reading a definition isn't the same as saying it to someone. Lingo Kaiava is a voice tutor set to Korean — it uses 진짜 the way locals do, corrects you in the moment, and never "fixes" the way real people actually talk into textbook Korean.
