Avocado — but as slang, embarrassment.
"Qué palta" means how embarrassing. "Pasar palta" is to go through an embarrassing moment. The literal meaning, avocado, is the standard word in Peru, Chile, Argentina, and Bolivia.
Mexico, Spain, and Colombia say "aguacate" for avocado and will not recognize palta at all, let alone the slang.
Reading a definition isn't the same as saying it to someone. Lingo Kaiava is a voice tutor set to Peruvian Spanish — it uses palta the way locals do, corrects you in the moment, and never "fixes" the way real people actually talk into textbook Peruvian Spanish.
