What's up? — the Panamanian greeting.
The standard casual greeting among younger Panamanians, usually answered with "offi" or "todo bien."
Reversed-syllable slang: "pasó" flipped into "xopa." Panama has a whole tradition of inverting words this way.
Cuba says ¿qué bolá?, DR says klk, Mexico says ¿qué onda?, Colombia says ¿qué más?
Reading a definition isn't the same as saying it to someone. Lingo Kaiava is a voice tutor set to Panamanian Spanish — it uses ¿qué xopa? the way locals do, corrects you in the moment, and never "fixes" the way real people actually talk into textbook Panamanian Spanish.
